I remembered smiling happily as my legs dangled over the edge of the wood, my feet barely touching the water. It was clear and flowed calmly at our end. Fish swam below my feet, some barely tickling them.
The sun, the light of the summer, was beating down on me.
I lifted my feet out of the water, not stopping to dry them off as I ran up to the sanctum. Isaac was waiting there for me.
